12-Week Parent Coaching Programme

Understand yourself. Understand your child. Change the patterns that keep you stuck.

You love your children.

But sometimes parenting can bring you right to the edge of yourself.

You might find yourself shouting when you promised yourself you wouldn't. Feeling overwhelmed by everyone's needs. Getting caught up in guilt, worry or perfectionism. Or wondering why the same situations keep playing out, even though you know you'd like to respond differently.

And sometimes the hardest part isn't your child's behaviour.

It's understanding what's happening inside you when it happens.

This 12-week parent coaching programme gives you the time and space to explore that.

We'll look at your own experiences, your parenting patterns, attachment, the nervous system, your child's developing brain, emotions, communication and connection — so that you can begin to understand what's really going on underneath the difficult moments.

This isn't about becoming a perfect parent.

It's about becoming a more aware, connected and empowered one.

What if you understood your parenting patterns differently?

Most of us don't consciously choose every part of the way we parent.

We bring our own childhood experiences with us.

The things we experienced.

The things we didn't experience.

The things we said we'd never repeat.

And sometimes, without meaning to, those experiences can show up in the way we respond to our own children.

Parent coaching gives you somewhere to slow all of this down.

Instead of simply asking:

“How do I get my child to behave differently?”

we can also ask:

“What's happening here — for my child, and for me?”

That shift can change a lot.

Parents playing with their child

A 12-week journey into parenting with more awareness and connection

Over the 12 weeks, we'll work through a structured programme while also making space for what's actually happening in your family.

Week 1 — Welcome & Orientation

We'll begin by looking at where you are now, what you're experiencing and what you'd like to be different.

We'll map out your 12-week journey and create some clear intentions for the work ahead.

Week 2 — Your Intentions as an Empowered Parent

What kind of parent do you want to be?

We'll explore your values, your personal parenting goals and the strengths you already bring to parenting.

This isn't about finding everything that's “wrong” with you. It's about recognising what's already there too.

Week 3 — The 10 Core Pillars of Empowered Parenting

We'll explore the 10 Core Pillars that underpin the Empowered Parenting framework and begin considering how these principles relate to your own family and parenting experience.

Week 4 — Making Sense of Attachment

Our early relationships can create blueprints that influence how we relate to other people.

We'll explore your own childhood experiences and attachment patterns, and consider how they may be showing up in your parenting today.

Week 5 — Making Sense of the Nervous System

Why do some situations send you from calm to completely overwhelmed?

We'll explore nervous system science, triggers and the difference between reacting from stress and having more capacity to stay present and connected.

We'll also look at co-regulation and what happens when both you and your child are having a difficult moment.

Week 6 — Making Sense of Mindsight & Brain Science

Your child's brain is developing all the time.

We'll look at child brain development and what this can tell us about behaviour, emotional capacity and your child's ability to manage big feelings.

We'll also explore mindsight and developing greater emotional empathy.

Week 7 — Making Sense of Emotional Intelligence

We'll explore how to notice, hold and name emotions without immediately trying to fix, suppress or get rid of them.

The more capacity you have to be with your own emotions, the more you can support your child with theirs.

Week 8 — Empowered Conversations

We'll look at the way we communicate during everyday parenting moments.

Rather than getting caught in blame, demands or power struggles, we'll explore communication that supports connection, safety and understanding.

Week 9 — The P.E.A.C.E. Process

We'll introduce the P.E.A.C.E. Process as a framework for navigating conflict and difficult family situations.

The aim isn't to eliminate conflict.

It's to have another way of moving through it.

Week 10 — Anger & Healthy Aggression

Anger is part of being human.

We'll look at anger without shame, explore what happens when emotions become intense and consider how you can process your own anger while supporting your child through theirs.

Week 11 — The Power of Play & Storytelling

Not every parenting problem needs another serious conversation.

We'll explore the role of play and storytelling and how creativity can help you connect with your child and approach everyday challenges differently.

Week 12 — Your Personal Transformation

We'll come back to where you started and look at what you've noticed, understood and changed over the 12 weeks.

We'll celebrate the progress you've made and think about how you can continue putting what you've learned into practice.

What might change for you?

Every parent is different, so your experience will be your own.

But you may begin to:

  • understand your own triggers more clearly

  • recognise patterns that come from your own childhood

  • feel less reactive when things get difficult

  • understand your child's behaviour differently

  • feel more able to stay connected during big emotions

  • communicate without everything becoming a battle

  • feel less guilt around your parenting

  • understand what's happening in your nervous system

  • become more confident in your own parenting decisions

  • respond rather than simply react

  • feel more connected to your child

  • have a greater sense of choice in difficult moments

And perhaps most importantly, you may start to move away from “What am I doing wrong?”

and towards:

“What is this moment showing me?”

My approach to parent coaching

I've worked with parents for many years, originally through Happy Me Parenting, before my work evolved into Somatic Experiencing and Happy Me Somatic Therapy.

I've always been interested in what's happening underneath the behaviour.

Because parenting isn't just about what your child does.

It's also about what happens inside you when they do it.

My approach isn't about judging your parenting or giving you a list of rules to follow.

It's about helping you understand yourself, your child and the relationship between you.

And because this is individual parent coaching, there's space to talk about your actual life, not an imaginary family where everyone calmly follows the parenting advice.

Who is this programme for?

This could be a good fit if you:

  • feel overwhelmed by parenting

  • regularly find yourself reacting in ways you later regret

  • struggle with shouting, anger or emotional overload

  • feel guilty or like you're constantly getting it wrong

  • want to understand your child's behaviour rather than simply manage it

  • notice that parenting brings up things from your own childhood

  • feel caught in repetitive family patterns

  • want to improve your connection with your child

  • want to feel more confident in yourself as a parent

  • know you want something to change but aren't sure where to begin

You don't need to have a particular parenting problem to start.

Sometimes you just know:

“I want things to feel different.”

That's enough.

Why 12 weeks?

Because meaningful change usually takes more than one conversation.

Twelve weeks gives us the opportunity to slow things down.

You'll have time to learn something, notice what happens in real life, come back to it, explore it further and gradually build a different way of responding.

This isn't about trying to completely reinvent yourself as a parent overnight.

It's about small shifts that can start to change the way you experience parenting.

The practical details

12 weeks

Online parent coaching

One-to-one support with Fiona

A structured 12-week programme combined with personalised coaching around what's happening in your own family.

You don't have to work everything out before you start.

We'll work it out together.

Ready to explore whether it's right for you?

If you're tired of feeling like you're constantly reacting, second-guessing yourself or trying to find the “right” way to parent, this could be an opportunity to slow things down and understand what's really going on.

A small number of places

Alongside my private somatic therapy practice, I offer parent coaching to a small number of clients at a time.

Because the 12-week programme is a deeper, more personal piece of work, I deliberately keep places limited. This means I can give each parent the time, attention and individual support they need throughout the programme.

The 12-week programme is therefore offered to a small number of parents at a time.

If you'd like to explore whether a place could be right for you, you can book an initial consultation with me.
