Time and time again, I saw parents exhausted by all the information they’d learned, yet unable to slow down, breathe, or feel grounded in their bodies.

Why I Trained in Somatic Experiencing
It became clear to me that traditional parent coaching methods were missing a crucial piece: regulation. Knowledge alone cannot change how the nervous system reacts under stress.
That’s why I trained as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SE) to help parents:

Slow down and reconnect with their bodies

Learn how to regulate their nervous system, instead of just reacting

Access presence, calm, and emotional availability with their children

Transform patterns of overwhelm, shutdown, or reactivity into grounded, attuned parenting

Why Training and Credentials Matter in Somatic Parent Coaching
Many coaches now use terms like “somatic” or “trauma-informed”, but not all training is equal. Somatic Experiencing is a body-based, nervous-system-focused approach developed by Dr Peter Levine, and it requires extensive, rigorous training over a number of years to practice effectively.

I completed full Somatic Experiencing Practitioner training (SOSI International, 2022–2025) under expert guidance, with continued supervision and adherence to a professional code of ethics. I also integrate Compassionate Inquiry Level 1 with Dr Gabor Maté, ensuring that trauma-informed approaches are grounded in deep, evidence-informed practice.
